HAM AND CHEESE OMELETTE

Are you in a hurry to fix a breakfast but still need to fix something for your hubby and kids? Then here is a very easy and fast breakfast recipe: ham and cheese omelette. This is a dish of fried beaten eggs filled with ham and cheese. If you know how to cook or fry eggs then this will be very easy for you. You can vary the fillings according to your preference. I usually make omelettes from left over meat, bacon, some veggies like spinach, mushroom. You can put any filling you like. This recipe will be using ham and cheese.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 2 tbsp. milk
  • ham, chopped
  • onion, chopped finely
  • ripe tomatoes, chopped finely(optional)
  • grated cheese
  • 1 tbsp. of cooking oil or a cooking spray
  • salt and pepper, to taste
PROCEDURE:

Beat the eggs and milk.(The milk makes the egg fluffy. But if you prefer not to have milk on it, it is fine)

Season it with salt and pepper.

Preheat the pan or skillet and put a tablespoon of oil on it. Saute the onion and then the tomatoes.
Toss the ham on it. Turn off the stove and set the fillings aside.

On another pan, put oil or cooking spray. Once the oil is heated put the beaten eggs.

Swirl the eggs on the pan to coat the whole pan and to even out the egg mixture. Stove should be on medium-low heat.

Allow the eggs to cook.  Then put your fillings( the onion, tomotoes, and ham) and sprinkle cheese on it, on half of the omelette face.

When the edges of the omelette starts to peel away from the pan then flip the other half over the filling using a spatula. Then roll it one more time and put it in a plate. Sprinkle with more grated cheese on top.

Serve.
